Fort Pinssen closed the gap in the West Brabantse waterlinie between the forts De Roovere and Moermont. In the 17th century, this was a busy place with all the clash of arms. The fort was named after Colonel Willem Pijnssen van der Aa, colonel in the Statish army. After the States, bushes and plants took over the fort and it is now an oasis of peace. The fort is not public, but around it you can take a beautiful walk.
