Deltapark Neeltje Jans is located at the foot of world's largest storm surge barrier. Namely at the Eastern Scheldt Storm surge barrier (Oosterscheldekering). This barrier is part of the Delta Works to protect the Netherlands from water from the North Sea. After all, much of the Netherlands is now located below sea level. The reason for building the Delta Works was the lost battle against the water during the 1953 flood disaster.
At Deltapark Neeltje Jans, you can experience the power of water with an impressive 4D animation. Besides this film, you can visit other films and exhibitions as well as enjoy the various water activities or seal show.
