On Sunday, 24 November 2024, during the Day of Science, you can discover why the soil and landscape we live in are so exceptional that they have been awarded the UNESCO Geopark label. Travel through time and learn how our landscape and the Scheldt were formed.
Scheepswerven Baasrode tells the story of the waterways, the types of ships that sailed them, and how and where they were built. Discover how the Scheldt landscape shaped shipbuilding and enjoy a guided tour of this beautiful heritage site (tip: part of the event takes place outdoors, so check the weather forecast in advance).
