Museum Hulst

Museum Hulst is housed in the historic building of the Refugium Ten Duinen, the refuge of the Cistercian monks who reclaimed land around Hulst from the 13th to the 17th century. The museum's exhibits include archaeological finds from the Late Paleolithic period. Also on display are costumes: the Axel costume, the Hulster costume and the Cadzand costume. There are also objects relating to guild life, Hulst's relationship with the epic Van den vos Reynaerde, military history and fortifications.
